Summary
[edit]DescriptionPEO PEQ-15A oblique.jpg |
English: The AN/PEQ-15A Dual Beam Aiming Laser Advanced (DBAL-A2) is a laser-aiming device designed to be
used in conjunction with night vision devices to engage enemy targets at night. When zeroed to the weapon, this device provides a visible or an infrared IR beam along the weapon’s line of fire for precise aiming of a Soldier’s weapon, and adjustable focus infrared illumination for improved situational awareness. The AN/PEQ-15A IR laser is class IIIB, while the visible-aiming lasers is class IIIA. The IR laser emits a highly collimated beam of IR light for precise weapon aiming, as well as a separate, IR-illuminating laser with adjustable focus. A visible, red dot-aiming laser can also be selected to provide accurate aiming of a weapon during daylight or night operations. AN/PEQ-15A lasers can be used as handheld illuminator/pointers, or can be weapon-mounted with included hardware. |
