English:

total An incomplete cast copper alloy, post Medieval (c.17th to 18th century) ring loop pipe tamper.

Description: The ring loop had wide shoulders now terminating at historic breaks, one at the junction with the collar and the other approx. 11.38mm in length. A circular sectioned shaft projects from the base of the ring, this terminates in a pad, with a flat circular tamper plate.

Measurements: stem -height: 24.83mm, diameter: 4.34,

collar: diameter: 5.10mm, depth: 3.20mm,

pad: diameter: 7.33

Loop - length: approx..31.38mm, width: 2.96mm, thickness:2.49mm and weight of 3.84g
