Photograph (ca.1900) of a page of a register, written by Father Palou at Mission San Luis Obispo, California, dated 1 September 1772. Details are given about the history of Mission San Luis Obispo and statutes for burials at the mission.; "Libro de Entrerras en que se assientan las partidas de los que mueren en esta Mision de Sr San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Pertenenciente al Colegio Apostolico de propanda Ride de San Fernando de Mexico del Orden de los Messores de la regular observancia de N.S.P. San Francisco. Fundada por los religiosos de apostolico Colegio en la California Septembrional con el favor y experiencia de nuestro Catolico Monarca y Rey de Espana." -- partial transcription.; Father Palou was in charge of Mission San Francisco and was the biographer of Father Junipero Serra.
