yours of the 23 Was received to day Which gave me much plesher to here from you but Was very Sorry to here that you had heard that I had the While Swelling for it is not true I have not got it nor never have had it I Was poisend on my my right leg and toe nex next to my Big toe and the Same leg Which gave me much pain for a bout one Week though my leg and toe is boath about Well now I Would like to know know Who Was So Sharp as to take any Such Word as that home to create uneasness With you you need not believe any Such reports for When any thing of any importance is rong With me I insure you that I Will let you know it So you may be contended about me here after and just let Such reports as that go in at one Eare and out at the other for the maker of it is a lyer and onley intended to give you Some uneaseness about me Just let Such reports as that rip you aught to know enugh about me to know that I Will take care of my self and let you know When thare is any thing rong With me my helth is as good at the present as it has been Since I left home I am in good helth and in fine Sperits I have been trying to get to go to the Regiment but I doant know whether I can make the riffel or not I as I have told you before I am in the Invilid Corps And I doant know Wether I Will get the oppertunita of going or not it Would be foolishness for me to leve this place and go to the Co. but it Would Suit me es I am not content here I doant like to Stay in one place So long I will give you a full histry of What I have to do here and then probly you can give me some advise on the subject in the first place I have left the Drugstore that I Was in I now have Charge of the Stewards Mess Which is in Hosp No 1 Mess No 2 thare is 4 Wardmasters 2 Stewards and 21 drugest and 4 Lady Nurses making in all 12 in the Mess to Cook for and thare in there hands beside me to do the Cooking all I hafto do is to bake the Cakes and pies Which is onley done twist a Week and onley takes Ѕ of a day each time which is Wednesday and Saterday I have as good bed to Sleep in as you have and Just as much to eat as the Country affords all I hafto do is just What I have told that is to to do the paster Work and
