English: This photo, made by Capt. Godfred Hansen, Danish Artic Explorer, shows the sign post inscribed "Four hundred miles to the North Pole" which was planted by Admiral Peary, discoverer of the North Pole on his successful expedition to the top of the wolrd. The sign post was discovered by Capt. Hansen during his recent expedition to the Northern-most point, 83 degrees north of Greenland. The Hansen party was an auxiliary of the Amundsen Expedition.
