Картина Александра Вишнякова — одно из самых ранних изображе- ний крестьянских трапез. Гротеск, свойственный всей сцене, подобен изображению грубой натуры, характерной для голландских и фла- мандских картин мастеров XVII века, которым подражали и русские художники середины XVIII века.

Холст, масло. 47,5 х 69 На обороте надпись: Аригиналъ Ал Вишнекова. Поступила: 1918 из ВОПХ*

В Каталоге 1980 значится произведением художника XVIII века Ал. Вишнекова и не датировано. По высказанному Н.М. Молевой и Э.М. Белютиным предположению, автор является младшим сыном И.Я. Вишнякова. Н.М. Молева и Э.М. Белютин датируют картину рубежом 1760-х - 1770-х (Молева, Белютин 1965**, с. 162). Я.В. Брук также относит время создания „Крестьянской пирушки" к 1760-м - началу 1770-х (Брук 1990***, с. 129, 250).
