Description
Reproduction en 1570 d’une des copies les plus fidèles du Jugement dernier de Michel-Ange faite par Marcello Venusti (1549). Le tableau ne tient donc pas compte de la censure en 1564 des nus et des détails jugés peu convenables, comme les postures de saint Blaise et de sainte Catherine, en bas du Christ à droite. Pour occuper la partie entre les lunettes supérieures de la fresque, Le Voyer intègre la figure de Dieu, tirée de la Création des eaux du plafond de la Sixtine, et ajoute également la colombe du Saint-Esprit pour représenter la Trinité.
