Knife River flint corner-notched Pelican Lake projectile point.

The Lynch Quarry Site in central western North Dakota was a major quarrying site for Knife River flint. A highly prized lithic, Knife River flint was knapped into projectile points like this one, a corner-notched Pelican Lake projectile point. Points such as this were manufactured and used between 3,000 BP and 1,500 BP.
