English: Prince Of Wales's Island In - Situ, by Capt. Robert Smith Made by Colonel Robert Smith around the time he was superintending engineer and executive officer of Penang in 1814–15 and 1817–19, at the time when the British organised a colony at Singapore. This painting is one of ten views made by Smith, who commissioned prints after them from William Daniell in 1821.[1] |
