English: A worn and somwhat damaged cast lead-alloy penny sized Boy Bishop token dating to the Late Medieval or Early Post-Medieval period, c. 1470-1539. This token is probably of Rigold's (1978) Bury series 1B. Obv: Bishop's mitre within inner pelleted border, [SANCTVS NICHOL]AVS. Rev: long cross quartering token, three pellets in each angle within inner pelleted border, legend illegible. |
