English: Tbilisi in some countries also still known by its pre-1936 international designation Tiflis is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of approximately 1.5 million people. Founded in the 5th century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, since then Tbilisi served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics.

العربية: تْبِلِيسِي كما تُعرف باسم تفليس هي عاصمة جورجيا وأكبر مدنها تقع علي ضفاف نهر كورا ويبلغ عدد سكانها حوالي 1,500,000 نسمة . تأسست في القرن الخامس من قبل فاختانغ الأول غورغاسالي، ملك مملكة ايبيريا، تبليسي منذ ذلك الحين أصبحت عاصمة لمختلف الممالك والجمهوريات الجورجية. وبين ال1801 وال1917 ، عندما كانت تحت حكم الإمبراطورية الروسية السابقة، كانت تبليسي مقرا للحاكم الإمبراطوري، الذي يحكم كلا من جنوب وشمال القوقاز.
