Ende 14. Jhdt. nicht jeder Künstler ist ein Michelangelo. Diese Pieta aus der Kirche St. Andreas in Köln stammt aus dem 14. Jhdt. und ist ziemlich ungewöhnlich -die Christus-Figur hat überproportional große Hände und Füße und einen verhältnismäßig kleinen Körper. Die Größenverhältnisse entsprechen eher dem Verhältnis Mutter-Kind - aber das Kind ist erwachsen und hat einen Bart. Immerhin hat da Maria den Leichnam eines ausgewachsenen Mannes auf dem Schoß - der hält sich eigentlich nicht so locker. Auch der Gesichtsausdruck trifft nicht so wirklich das Gefühl tiefer Trauer. Eine eindrucksvolle ungewöhnliche Skulptur - die mir dennoch ein leichtes Lächeln entlockte. not every artist is a Michelangelo. This Pieta from the church St. Andreas in Cologne dates from the 14th century and is quite unusual - the Christ figure has disproportionately large hands and feet and a relatively small body. The proportions correspond more to the mother-child ratio - but the child is grown up and has a beard. After all, Maria has the corpse of a full-grown man on her lap - he doesn't really hold himself so loosely. Even the expression on her face doesn't really strike the feeling of deep sadness. An impressive unusual sculpture - which nevertheless elicited a slight smile from me. |
