English: Spanish council of troubles "Blood council", founded in 1567 by the Duke of Alba (shown left). In the background a beheading by an executioner on a scaffold. Monks. Hats. Stools. Lawyers. Tapestry. Curtains.
Nederlands: Spaanse bloedraad, door de Hertog van Alva (links) in 1567 aangesteld. "Afbeeldinge van de Spaansche Bloedraad in den Jaare 1567 door den Hartog van Alva aangestelt." Een gebonden gevangene knielt. Op de achtergrond een onthoofding op een schavot. Rechters, monniken, hoeden, krukken, tapijt, gordijn.
