English: Noblemen of Travancore Pillai of Kandamath, detail of the painting: The Maharaja of Travancore and his younger brother welcoming w:Richard Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos (1823-1889), Governor-General of Madras (1875-80), on his official visit to Trivandrum in 1880.

Source From the painting by w:Raja Ravi Varma (signed: Ravi Vurma Coil Tampooran), ( oil on canvas.; Size of original = 42 x 57 inches, or 106 x 146 cms. ) formerly owned by the 3rd Duke of Buckingham and then his daughter w:Mary Morgan-Grenville, 11th Lady Kinloss, then Buckinghamshire County Council from the 1920s until 1974, publicly displayed, now in private collection in UK. Sold by Bonham's October 2007.
