Knife River flint Plains side-notched projectile point.

This point was made by a process known as flint-knapping. Flint-knapping is the method of shaping stones by striking, or knapping, naturally brittle rock with a piece of antler, bone or rock. This Knife River flint side-notched Plains projectile point could have been made between 1,500 BP and 200 BP.
