Summary

[edit]
Description
  • English: Wilhelm von Plüschow (1852-1930), Boys posing in Ancient Greek garbs in the Theatre of Dionysus in Athens (ca. 1894). Unknown catalogue number. This picture was published on the website of the University of Strasburg, where it is given to Paul Bette, whereas it belongs to a set by Wilhelm von Plüschow. Bette, who was a publisher, not a photographer, might therefore have acted as a distributor for Plüschow. This image belongs to a fund which was bought within March 1895, which helps in dating this image as well.
Date Within march 1895.
