Title
Pont d'Austerlitz
Description
The Pont d'Austerlitz, which was built over the Seine river between the years 1802 and 1807, was named after Napoléon's victory over the Russians in 1805 and was originally made of iron. In 1855, the bridge was rebuilt using stone, and the names of officers killed at the battle of Austerlitz were then inscribed. It is located in the fifth, twelfth and thirteenth arrondissements, and is one of the most frequently used bridges in Paris.
