| Description |
Português: Porto de Leixões, antigo guindaste do molhe norte (Titã). Em Matosinhos, Porto, Portugal. Guindaste movido a vapor, deslocando-se sobre carris, utilizado essencialmente para a construção e reparação dos molhes (c.1884), embora também tenha sido utilizado para operações de carga e descarga de navios. Empresa construtora "Fives-Lille".
Em 2012, já em elevado estado de degradação sofreu um acidente e tombou, mas a Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo (APDL) guardou o maior número de componentes que permitiu em 2021 recuperar a estrutura, num investimento de dois milhões de euros. Assim, o Titan, no lado sul do Porto de Leixões, ‘renasce’ com muitas das suas peças originais, sobretudo os componentes mecânicos, e torna-se agora possível a sua visita ao longo dos quase 69 metros de comprimento e 17 metros de altura. |
