English: Presumed portrait of Marquise de Caylus (1671-1729), cousin of Françoise d'Aubigné, Marquise de Maintenon (1635-1719).
"Thie enamel was identified in the mid-nineteenth century as Madame le Valois, comtesse de Caylus, a cousin of Madame de Maintenon. However, the enamel appears to represent a woman older than the seventeen years of age that Madame le Valois would have been c. 1690, when it was painted."
