English: West side of Posidonius, on the moon. This is figure 3-50 from the Apollo 15 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-289), which has the following caption: Western half of Posidonius Crater on eastern margin of Sea of Serenity. A tightly convoluted sinuous rille crosses the raised floor of the crater, turns back, and follows the rim to a low point in the western rim. The higher resolution version is Figure 207 from Apollo Over the Moon (NASA SP-362, 1978), which has the following caption: |
