Title
Post-Medieval: Ear Scoop
Description
English: A silver ear scoop from a Post-Medieval toiletry set of the 17th century. The scoop is sub-rectangular in plan with rounded ends and a narrowed centre. In section, it is D-shaped. The undecorated underside is flat, while the outer face has a series of moulded collars - 3 sets at the top and 1 set 1/3 length from the scoop end. The object is bowed from a bend in the centre of its length. The scoop bowl is a simple egg-shaped depression on the flat side of the object. The opposite end has a circular perforation for attachment.
