Description
English: A copper-alloy double-loop asymmetrical buckle of suggested 1575-1700 AD date (R. Whitehead; 1996; pp. 91, No. 573).

One of the two vertical sides is rounded, has a bevelled outer edge and an internal projection at the centre forming an expanded pin rest; the other side has a vertical inner edge and trefoil-shaped outer edge. There is a groove running on the outside edge of each loop. The central axis bar is of sub-circular section. The pin is missing. The buckle is deliberately bent.
