Description |
English: Lead alloy possible tobacco jar lid handle. A cylindrical hollow plug with a broader bevelled skirt above it, for insertion into a lid of different material. The handle itself comprises a slightly waisted stem ending in a collared spherical element whence spring the arms of a symmetrical T-shaped form with drooping ends, all with rounded surfaces [one arm lost]. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1750
