Title |
Post-Medieval stamp |
||
Description |
English: Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy object, possibly a stamp. It is of rounded hourglass shape and cast solid. All surfaces are smooth and plain expect for the top which displays a small circular dent and the bottom ('stamp') which displays three deep, parallel grooves. It seems unlikely that it was some kind of personal stamp, espeically because there is no visible means of suspension, but shape and 'stamp' pattern on the bottom suggest a similar use. |
