Description
English: Complete, braided silver wire finger ring, probably of post-medieval to modern date (1800–1950).

The ring is formed of 3 bundles, each of 6 strands, of silver wire (wire approx 0.33mm diameter), which have been plaited or braided together and then formed into a ring. The braid width is about 2.9mm. Join (e.g. solder) not apparent. Wire is of sub-rectangular cross-section. No markings are visible. The ring is distorted and sharply bent. Several (about 4) of the wire strands are broken.

Length: 18.18mm, Width: 15.44mm, Height: 7.25mm, Weight: 1.2g. Outside diameter before deformation was probably about 18mm.
