Post-medieval hooked tag: Hooked tag
Description
English: A copper alloy hooked tag dating to the early post-medieval period, c. AD 1500-1600. The hooked tag had a circular body with openwork decoration arranged around a thin central cross with central pellet. There is a rectangular attachment loop at the head of the tag, and a curved hook at the opposing end. The hooked tag is mostly complete (it is missing a small part of the hook) and in good condition. Read (2008:87) Class E Type 3.
