Post Medieval Body Sherd of Jar |
||
Description |
English: A Post Medieval body sherd from a jar or jug. The pale cream clay is high fired with a stoneware like texture. Both externally and internally is a brown colour coat. The outer surface has a fluted decoration, which presumably is likely to be representation of drapery. The diameter of the vessel would have been around 40mm and the weight of the sherd is 11.41g. |
