Post Medieval Clay Smoking Pipe bowl
Description
English: A post medieval clay pipe bowl dating to circa 1640-1660. See Oswald 1975 (clay Pipes for the Archaeologist page 37 number 5 and figure 3 number 5. The bulbous bowl is angled forward and has a pedestal foot. The bowl has a milled rim but is otherwise plain. The stem is thick with a large bore.

Length from rim to heel 36.72. width at widest point of bowl 19.83, thickness at wides point of bowl 20.07.

Bowl internal diameter 11.88. Bowl external diameter 15.46, Bowl thickness at rim 2.92. Foot diameter 10.57. Bore size 2.7. Weight 11.69g.
