Post Medieval Steelyeard weight
Description
English: A cast lead steelyard weight dating to the Medieval-Post Medieval periods. The object is cone shaped and undecorated, although the surface has been pitted from general wear and tear. At the top of the cone is a cast integral suspension loop. It weighs 38.5g and measures 28.57mm in height and the base of the object is 17.86mm in diameter. Examples of this type of weight can be found in Bailey, G. (1993) Detector Finds 2, Greenlight Publishing: 30f.
