Post Medieval cast copper alloy trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle
Description
English: Post Medieval (c1660-1720), cast copper alloy, trapezoidal shoe, or knee, buckle with what appears to be remnants of a white metal coating, probably tin decorated with moulded transverse ridges or scrolls around the spindle holes. The spindle is absent. The buckle is similar in type to No.610 & 611 (Buckles 1250-1800; Ross Whitehead). The length is 36mm and the width is 22mm.
