Description |
English: Post Medieval copper alloy pipe tamper. The almost complete objects consists of the plain circular tamper itself with a quadruple collared stem terminating in a hand grasping the middle of the stem of a clay pipe. The mouthpiece end of the stem is now lost. The pipe is typical of the period from c1600 to c1920 AD. The length is 50mm, the width 34mm, thickness 12mm, and the weight is 21.10g. Similar examples on the database include LVPL-C04FE3, WMID-B907D3, BERK-2D6663, and SOM-0D0144. |
