Title
Post Medieval fragment of clay smoking pipe
Description
English:

The cast kaolin bowl of a clay pipe, otherwise incomplete, Post Medieval in date (c. 1640-1700).

The bowl is diagonal in relation to the base of the stem emerging from the base of the bowl, with a circular base on the underside of the bowl. The bowl has a swollen midddle relative to the rim and base. There are no maker's marks evident but a single band of pressed decoration is faintly visable around the edge of the rim of the bowl.
