Post medieval ammunition; cannon ball
Description
English: A cast iron cannonball, and judging from the size and weight, probably for use in a Falconet dating from c. 1500-1700. A Falconet was a small cannon used both on land and in light naval vessels. A number were used during the English Civil War (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falconet_">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falconet_</a>(cannon) ). It is 54mm in diameter and weighs 594gm.
