Summary[edit]

Description Икона "Богоматерь Прибавление ума Ключ разума Пресвятой Богородицы" с приписными св. Ириной и св. Иаковом. Дерево, левкас, сусальное золото, темпера. 15,5х18,5 Россия, середина XIX в. В целом в хорошей сохранности, мелкие осыпи по ликам. По преданию, икона получила свое название по видению благочестивому человеку, который так усердно размышлял на богословские темы, что его сознание помутилось. Когда сознание ненадолго возвращалось к нему, он молился Богородице, чтобы она возвратила ему разум. По его молитве последовало видение: Богоматерь заповедала ему написать образ в том виде, как она явилась ему, и молиться пред ним, и обещала, что если он исполнит это, будет здоров. После видения он написал икону и назвал ее "Прибавление ума". Иконе молятся о благодати дарования премудрости, разума и благих знаний, помощи в просвещении детей, исцеления слабости ума. Представляет интерес как достаточно редкий иконографический извод.
