English: RipASm overexpressed cells lyse. M. smegmatis carrying a plasmid in which wildtype RipASm was fused to GFP was grown on an agar pad with the inducer aTc, in order to overexpress wild-type RipA. Micrographs of the GFP signal were captured every 10 minutes by fluorescence microscopy and a time-lapse movie was compiled from the individual timepoints. Lysis of RipA expressing cells can be identified by loss of GFP between time points. |
