Description
English: Punakha Lhakhang It was built in 1637 by the founder of Bhutan, Ngawang Namgyal, It is located at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers in Punakha, Bhutan.

The lakhang is housed in Punakha Dzong (fort), one of the oldest and most significant forts in Bhutan. References "Punakha Dzong: An Architectural and Spiritual Masterpiece of Bhutan" by Chencho Gyeltshen, published in the International Journal of Architecture, Arts and Applications in 2019. "Bhutan: Himalayan Mountain Kingdom" by Françoise Pommaret, published by Odyssey Books and Guides in 2018,
