English: Academy for Teacher Educators. The Academy was established by the Afghan Government in 1964 with the help of UNESCO and UNICEF. Its purpose is to train students who will go out to staff teacher training colleges at primary level. The setting up of such colleges in provincial centres is part of a whole reform of the Afghan educational system, a reform which aims at both increasing the quality of education while at the same time providing more educational facilities. Teachers under training attending a demonstration lesson using puppets. The subject being taught is cholera.
Français : Académie de formation pédagogique. Cette Académie a été créée par le Gouvernement afghan en 1964 avec l'aide de l'UNESCO et de l'UNICEF. Elle a pour but de former des instituteurs destinés aux écoles normales de province dont l'établissement fait partie d'un plan de réforme du système pédagogique dont le but est d’accroître le niveau de l'enseignement et de fournir les moyens d'éducation. Des élèves-instituteurs pendant une démonstration où sont utilisées des marionnettes. Le sujet traité concernce le choléra.
