Summary

[edit]
Description

Ball-and-stick model of the L-pyrrolysine molecule, C12H21N3O3, in the zwitterionic form.

The structure is adapted from the crystal structure of the catalytic domain of pyrrolysyl-tRNA synthetase in complex with pyrrolysine and an ATP analogue.

The pyrrolysyl-tRNA synthetase structure was determined by X-ray crystallography and reported in J. Mol. Biol. (2008) 378 634-652 (PDB entry 2zce).

The experimental structure of the pyrrolysine ligand itself (PYL) is available from PDB Ligand Expo entry PYL.
