Title
Quatrifoliar harness pendant
Description
English: A damaged quatrifoliar harness pendant, suspension loop formed of a turned-over spike. The uppermost lobe is semi-circular, the two side lobes more rectangular, possibly due to damage, and the bottom lobe broken off. the break running through a rivet hole near the top of the lobe. Even when complete, the piece was probably of uneven construction. A shallow circular indentation in the centre of the piece bears a shield with three chevrons visible on it; the ground of the shield appears to have been red, with significant traces of the enamel remaining. The outer lobes bear relatively large amounts of blue enamel, and appear to have had no further decoration. Back plain. Measurements: 34.3 mm x 39.4 mm.
