[edit]Ray C. Gill Recently of the U.S. Army has returned to our employ as make-up man in the composing room. Roy Gill entered the army on June 20, 1941 and embarked from New York on July 16, 1942 for service in the Mediterranean Area. In February, 1944, he was transferred to the Pacific Theatre of war. He returned to the United States on January 16, 1945 and was honorably discharged on July 25, 1945. As proud reminders of hit service, he is entitled to wear the EAME Theatre ribbon with five bronze stars representing service in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia. Sicily, Naples, Foggia, Rome and Arno. He was also awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre ribbon with one bronze star for service in India-Burma. The Argus-Leader is proud of his service to his country and Is happy to have him again on its staff.
