Solution of dye that fluorescent in the red-orange region.
Summary
[edit]DescriptionRed-orange fluorescence.jpg |
English: The organic dye was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide to form transparent colored solutions with different concentrations. The more diluted solution (right) has fluorescent properties. When it is irradiated with white light it emitsradiation in the red-orange region of the spectrum. Due to the spreading of the emitted radiation perpendicular to the absorbed light the solution looks cloudy (opaque).
