Deutsch: Stoffausführung des Deutsches Reichssportabzeichen in Bronze
English: German Reich Sports Badge DRL (German National Sports Badge; Deutsche Reichsauszeichnung für Leibesübungen; Reichssportabzeichen: Deutsches Sportabzeichen) in Bronze in fabric version. The award insignia shows the abbreviation DRL (German Reichsbund for Physical-fitness, a German State-league for Physical-fitness) as interwoven letters in script typeface within an oak leaf wreath, and a Swastika symbol at its base, both a political and national emblem. The cloth badge is machine-woven in bronze-coloured threads and would have been sewn to an athletic uniform, etc. The Nazi swastika version of the German national sports badge was awarded from 1935 to 1944. |
