English: Retrato de Carlos III, María Amalia de Sajonia y el infante don Carlos, Príncipe de Asturias. En la línea tradicional de la pintura de castas mexicana, -con cédulas o cartelas colocadas debajo de cada personaje-, en esta pintura se representa lo siguiente: "De Rey y de Reina nace Príncipe". Probablemente ésta sea la primera representación en el Nuevo Mundo, y desde luego en el Virreinato de Nueva España, de la nueva Familia Real en el momento preciso de acceder al trono español (diciembre de 1759).
