[edit]Rev. D.R. Evans New Head Of Somerset Historical Group. The Rev. David R. Evans, pastor of the First Reformed Church, Somerville, was elected president of the Somerset County Historical Society at the annual meeting Saturday afternoon, succeeding County Clerk Walter K. Crater, who was not a candidate for reelection. Dr. Lancelot Ely, West High street, was named vice-president and Dr. Fred A. Wild, 111 East High street, Bound Brook, was reelected secretary and treasurer. Mrs. E. Miller, Bridgewater Township; Isaac Kip, Neshanic, and Miss Cora Wilcox, South Bridge street, comprised the nominating committee. Meeting was held in the Old Dutch Parsonage, Washington place, Somerville.
