Description
English: 4th Marine Division: A line of Marine rocket trucks looses a barrage of the self-propelled missles at the enemy during the struggle for Saipan. Greatly improved, rockets are now an important weapon used in various forms in conflicts on all fronts. These are the first pictures to be released showing Marines using land based rockets in the Pacific Theatre. Truck-mounted rocket launchers fire at Japanese strongpoints in northern Saipan (USMC 104069).
