English: A lead Roman bi-conical weight with an iron loop at each end, one of which is now broken. Probably for use with a steelyard The Roman standard of weight was the libra or pound which weighed about 327gms, and which was split into 12 parts called unicae or ounces, each of 27 grams. Date circa 43-410 AD. Dimensions: Length 1.43mm; diameter 0.71mm; weight 38.68g
