English: A silvered cast copper alloy dove brooch of probable second century AD date. The incomplete brooch measures 35.2mm by 21.2mm by 11.5mm and weighs 5.8g. It comprises a tear-drop shaped plate, with an incomplete tail at the narrow end and the stub of the projecting in the centre of the wide end. There are two diagonal moulded lines which extend from beside the dove's neck towards the tail, which represent the bird's folded wings.
