English: A zoomorphic 2nd century Roman cast copper alloy 'bear' brooch with grooved body and strange construction. A near complete Roman brooch; cast copper alloy brooch in the shape of a bear. Length 37.6mm, height 17.8mm, thickness (plate) 2.5mm, thickness (inc lugs) 7.1mm, weight 6.06g - NB there is some foam stuck to the back.
