||
Description |
English: A fragment of a Roman ceramic vessel. The pottery sherd is from a decorated vessel, possibly Parisian Ware or Rossington Bridge Fine Reduced Ware and perhaps an indented beaker. The sherd is of a very fine-grained dark brown material and is smooth on both the inner and outer surfaces. The outer surface shows part of an incised circle or oval and thinly incised horizontal lines at top and bottom of the circle. The sherd measures 32.5 by 20.9 by 3.9mm and weighs 3.35gm. |
