Description
English: A post-medieval to modern copy taken from a Renaissance struck copy ('Paduan') of a sestertius of Caligula (AD 37-41), originally dating to AD39-40, ADLOCVT COH S C, Gaius addressing soldiers. For original Roman coin, see RIC I, p. 111, no. 40. The original Renaissance piece was most probably struck by Giovanni da Cavino in Padua in the 16th Century AD.
